
Cindy Devonish
Cindy Devonish's life story exemplifies resilience, dedication, and service. Born to a multicultural family, Cindy faced numerous challenges throughout her childhood and youth, including generational trauma, domestic abuse, teenage pregnancy, lived child protection experience, and housing instability. Despite these adversities, her unwavering determination led her to work multiple jobs while pursuing higher education, ultimately earning a master's degree in management, a bachelor's degree in human services, and graduating Cum Laude. Cindy is a Policy Fellow at the University of Minnesota and has contributed to collaborative legislation (HF 3587) addressing pay disparities and promoting equity in Minnesota.
Cindy's commitment to her community is evident through her extensive volunteer work, particularly civil rights and social justice. Her contributions include:
