Using a web-based curriculum, regular sessions with a certified Wraparound coach, shadowing opportunities and live support when working with families, this training can be virtual, in-person, or hybrid. The ACE Interface Understanding NEAR: Building Self-Healing Communities presentation shares how early experiences shape brain development and behavior, summarizes key findings from the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Study, and highlights many ways individuals and communities can build resilience and support healing. When people better understand adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), they are better equipped to heal and break cycles of violence, leading to healthier individuals, families, and communities. This presentation can be tailored for Indigenous communities, Spanish-speakers, and Early Childhood and Corrections professionals.

Being a family service provider often means being present to and attending to others’ trauma. This can lead to secondary trauma, compassion fatigue, and burnout. In this workshop, attendees will learn to recognize symptoms of stress-related disorders and gain strategies to prevent secondary stress and expand self-care practices throughout your organization. This workshop combines personal experience with information on the best practices in the field from organizations like the Child Traumatic Stress Network.

Circle of Parents is a peer-led, mutual self-help, support group program. Implementing Circle of Parents in residential program settings builds social connections, reduces isolation, and grows confidence in parenting knowledge and skills. FamilyWise provides all the training you need to start and facilitate a parenting group in your setting. We also support a community of practice, creating portunities for you to learn alongside similar organizations.
