Parent Education On-The Go Kits

Families who are at risk or involved with the child welfare system work to strengthen themselves as a whole family.   FamilyWise supports parents on creating a stable non-violent home environment free of drug and alcohol abuse, securing employment, and developing healthy parenting skills. Parent Educators typically meet with families in the family’s home.  These items support parents as the work on achieving their family goals.

Participant Gifts

These individuals are youth or adults emerging from incarceration and re-assimilating back into the community. FamilyWise provides them with one-on-one support from community resource experts so that they can successfully engage with their community and reestablish strong relationships with their family. These gifts would help provide resources to provide a smooth transition back into the community and reestablish strong relationships with their family.

Supervised Parenting Visit Rooms

We provide a safe and welcoming space for non-custodial parents and their kids to come together to foster strong and healthy relationships. With the adequate resources and supplies, we’re able to ensure an enjoyable and welcoming space for their parenting time.

Winter Warmth Supplies

Host a drive for warm winter socks, or warm blankets.

Gifts for Youth or for Supporting Youth

The Wraparound iss aimed at preventing kids with severe behavioral/mental health issues from ending up in residential treatment or correctional facilities. Our trained staff work with youth and their families on coping, problem solving and life-skills, as well as building support networks for long-term success. We meet often with the youth and their increase their support network by identifying specific people in the community who can help at ‘team meetings’ to get everyone on the same page to meet the youth and family’s goals.

Book Drive

Host a book drive for books of all ages and topics.  Our families particularly appreciate board books, books that feature multicultural characters, and books about feelings, abuse, death and loss, foster care, adoption.

Self-Care/De-Stress

Provide items that promote self-care and give families moments of relief from situations causing stress.
