We’re pleased to announce that Family Specialist Erica Delles has been accepted to this year’s Nonprofit Emerging Leaders Academy (NELA)!
Erica was born and raised in Cold Spring, Minnesota. She graduated from ROCORI High School in 2007 and went on to college at University of Minnesota, Morris. She transferred and graduated with a double major in English and Art with an emphasis in education in December of 2012. After graduation, Erica focused her time mentoring college students and secured a job in Arkansas conducting a day-camp for elementary aged children who had experienced traumatic natural disasters. She returned to Minnesota Fall 2013 and started working at a residential treatment center, where she worked with boys ages 8-13 to provide a safe place to help them navigate extreme emotions.
Erica continued her education the following year and finished with a Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling December 2018. During the final year of her master’s program, she interned at FamilyWise conducting parent assessments, working in the parent support outreach program, and observing and recording parenting time sessions. After graduation, she accepted a role as a Family Specialist to continue the work she was doing during her internship as she works towards licensure to become a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor.
In her free time she enjoys baking and arranging board game nights and movie marathons with friends.
