Community Partner of the Year: Adler Graduate School
Adler Graduate School has provided FamilyWise with quality interns for the past decade. Founded in 1967 by local professionals interested in Adlerian Psychology, the school’s dual commitment to higher education and community service is exemplified in its partnership with FamilyWise.
Volunteer of the Year: Church of the Open Door
Church of the Open Door’s middle school and high school students have volunteered at FamilyWise monthly for the past several years. They do whatever needs to get done and seem to always have fun, even if it means sanitizing our family rooms, picking up litter or pulling weeds.
George Kressin Internship Award: Ben Twogood
Ben began working with our families in 2012 during his clinical internship under George Kressin. He is an alumnus of Adler Graduate School and is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. Ben was selected by a community panel as this year’s recipient of the $500 George Kressin Internship Award which exemplifies Mr. Kressin’s commitment to working with our families.
Lifetime Mission Award: Arlene Nystuen
Arlene was one of the founders of Genesis II for Women and has remained a vital supporter through the decades as it transitioned to FamilyWise. As a long-time board member, her contributions helped our organization achieve mission-driven results. She has been a passionate advocate for women and children her entire life and we are excited to honor her with this award.
