Carlson Family Foundation Gift

FamilyWise has received $15,000 from the Carlson Family Foundation. This grant will go to our Bright Beginnings Teen Parenting program.

About Bright Beginnings
Bright Beginnings Teen Parenting program assists young parents in creating safe and healthy environments for themselves and their infants before and during the first years of their children’s lives. The parenting youth are almost all youth of color (99%), 73% of them are low-income, 25% are experiencing homelessness, and 22% are immigrants or refugees. Read More

Since 1976, FamilyWise has been keeping children safe and helping families gain the stability needed to lead healthy and productive lives. FamilyWise provides parent education, comprehensive support services, and supervised visitation and safe exchange services to at-risk children and families experiencing trauma. In 2017, nearly 1,200 children under the age of six were kept safe while parents learned to help them achieve age-appropriate developmental milestones. 91% of program participants are considered low income. Read More
