Family Wise is excited to release our 2015 Annual Report! It is hard to believe that it has been 40 years since a small group of committed women decided to find a way to keep kids safe and strengthen families. Much has changed since that time, and yet too much has remained the same.
Tremendous growth and expanding our expertise to a continuum of services for families struggling with barriers to safety. FamilyWise has grown in numbers of clients and geographic area served, staffing and budget. Particularly in the last three years. By 2015, 3,990 individual and 1,640 households were served from various areas and demographics. This represents an 83% service increase from 2012 along with a budget growth from an approximate $1.9 million to $2.8 million, representing a 61% increase in finances. FamilyWise now owns two buildings and practices out of four satellite locations throughout the extended Twin Cities metropolitan area.
In the years to come, we commit to tackle some of the more intractable problems facing families. We will be investing in research in best practices around mentor training and visitation curriculum, improving our evaluation processes and program innovations to protect children and to prepare parents. As experts, our staff will be credentialed to train others in the community. Our role as a community leader propels us into these new arenas.
FamilyWise thanks our donors and volunteers of 2015! More than 280 individuals and groups contributed to a total of 13,522 hours in 2015 at FamilyWise. The excellent work of graduate and post graduate clinical interns at FamilyWise is equal to about $222,000 dollar per year in additional in-kind staff resources. In addition, we had an abundance of donations in 2015. We thank everyone who gave time, money or goods to FamilyWise. We appreciate all of the help and for believing in us!
