How to Contribute

FamilyWise is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 charitable organization serving approximately 2,000 children, youth and parents annually. Contributions are tax deductible. You can contribute with the knowledge that 100% of your gift will go to support the FamilyWise mission of helping families in crisis.

Make a Difference!

Individual donations are an important part of our funding. Contracts cover only 60% of the costs to deliver services to families. The rest of the costs are covered by private donations such as yours. Your contributions allow FamilyWise to better reach at-risk families in our community and make a greater impact on those we serve and help us to:

Educate parents on skills needed to lead self-sufficient lives and provide safe homes for their children.

Empower families to advocate for themselves and their children.

Enrich the lives of children, youth and families, enabling them to lead healthy, productive family lifestyles.

Donating Items

We have ongoing needs for particular items as part of our services and programs for families. Check out our Wish List.

Donating Stocks, Bonds, or Other Appreciated Property

Your deductible gift amount will be the average of the high and the low value of the stock on the date when you made the transfer. When you transfer appreciated stock directly to FamilyWise, you do not incur capital gains.

How to make a gift of stock: Call your broker and ask them to transfer your stock to our FamilyWise account at Raymond James Investments.  The Account # 31716707 and the DTC number is 0725.

Please notify FamilyWise’s Executive Director, Ann Gaasch, via email or at 612.877.7827 that a transfer is being made.

Leaving a Legacy

You can secure your legacy of giving by making a long-term commitment in support of the FamilyWise mission to build healthy family relationships. Using bequests made through wills, revocable living trusts, appreciated stock, real estate, mutual funds, securities, life insurance and other giving options, you can help make a lasting difference in the lives of children and families well into the future.

A planned gift to FamilyWise is best made with the counsel of one’s financial advisor, such as an attorney, accountant, banker, financial planner, or insurance professional.

For questions and/or assistance, please email Ann Gaasch, Executive Director or call 612.877.7827.
