Toddlers are busy little people as they begin to actively and deliberately explore and manipulate their environment. In a safe environment toddlers can energetically experiment with structured play directed by the toddler teachers. The Creative Curriculum taught by the toddler teachers provides a framework for children to develop pre-academic concepts such as color recognition, pencil grip and early literacy. Children are encouraged to achieve a sense of self as well as learn empathy for and cooperation with others. Toddlers are encouraged to perform self help skills independently such as toileting and hand washing. Many of these skills are mastered upon transitioning in to the Preschool Room.
The Toddler Room is licensed for 12 and serves children aged 16 months through 36 months.
